7 Steps To Get What You Want

Getting what we want from life can seem like a tricky business. We all aspire to something better, whether it’s a better job, better health, or a better quality of life in general. Alas, we have a damaging tendency to assume these are unattainable aspirations out of our control.

Fortunately, this couldn’t be more wrong! We are all capable of creating the lives we want; we are very rarely out of control of our destiny and fate. Perhaps even more crucial to remember is the fact we deserve those great things we aspire towards, we should allow ourselves to aim high!

So, to begin your journey into receiving everything you’ve ever wanted in life, we have seven steps you can take. Good luck!

Step One: Take Responsibility For Your Life.

To progress in any way we must first take full responsibility for our decisions, our actions, and our paths. If we sit about and wait for things to come to us, or worse still if we believe we’re not strong enough to take control, then we’ll never get anywhere.

Almost everything in your life is a result of your decisions. Whether you are dealing with money issues, relationship drama, fitness worries, or one of the other billion problematic aspects of life: they will be your responsibility.

There is a saying: ‘good things come to those who wait’, but I don’t believe this to be the case at all. Instead, I believe good things come to those who work for it. No one else is responsible for handing you the life you want, you are never entitled to or guaranteed the world; you must take full responsibility and go for it.

Step Two: Believe In Your Purpose.

Although you may find it hard to believe sometimes, you do have a purpose on this Earth. Everybody does. It may not be world-changing or a huge task, in fact, many of us decide our own purposes, nevertheless, it’s within you somewhere.

Concentrate on your passions and dislikes; stay tuned in to your thoughts and experiences. By identifying who you are, you can identify your intentions. Ensure you take some time out of your busy schedule to identifying and honor your purpose in the world!

Step Three: Decide What You Want.

One of the biggest mistakes we can make in our lives is going after something that we do not actually want. We may have been persuaded by others, pressured by expectations or simply not have thought it through. Don’t waste your time and energy on a path if you have any real doubts about your happiness or intent.

Step Four: Set Goals.

When you have settled on an idea of what you want in the future, invest in your present self. By setting goals you place your intentions into the physical, more permanent world. This will allow you to organize more effectively and to truly see where you are headed.

It is incredibly important to review your goals occasionally and ensure they are still what you want.

Step Five: Ask For It.

Another important thing to remember is that you do not have to struggle with what you want alone! Simply be ask for help, or even for the thing you want itself, you can cut years off of your original plans because other people are almost always willing to help you.

Step Six: Stop Worrying About What People Think Of You.

I’d like to say no one will judge you but unfortunately, that’s a lie. There will be unwanted judgments, opinions, maybe even mockery. What you have to remember is that it means absolutely nothing, zilch. The words of someone on an entirely different path should not impact on yours. Never hold yourself back because of someone else!

Step Seven: Go For It!

Perhaps the most important step towards getting what you want is to actually try! Take it seriously! Climb the mountain; punch the face of God… or perhaps something less offensive!

What you want is more than possible, more than a chance if you simply believe in yourself and work hard. You must have self-confidence, self-esteem, self-assurance, all of which you are more than worthy and deserving. You have more than enough ability, resources, talent, and skill to get results.
