There are many other home remedies too which you can try to get rid of dandruff in a natural way. But many times some unexpected situation arises where you might not get enough time to wash your hair. But you can’t even go out with a head full of flakes. To get rid of dandruff temporarily without washing your hair, you should follow the given steps.

Step 1

The first thing that you will need is a clean and large mirror, preferably in your bathroom, where you will be able to see your reflection clearly and pinpoint where exactly your dandruff has accumulated most. You need to have good light in that place so that you are able to locate it quicker.

Step 2

Sprinkle dry shampoo on all the parts where you see dandruff accumulated. Baby powder and cornstarch can also have the same effects as that of dry shampoo, so you can use these products too in case you don’t have dry shampoo. But don’t put too much of it on your hair as it can make your hair appear whitish. People with light-colored hair are fine, but the ones having dark toned hair need to be careful.

Step 3

Next bush your hair using a comb having fine teeth, especially over the areas where the dandruff is accumulated. The dry shampoo makes the flakes quite slippery, so they can easily be brushed out. You can control the accumulation of dandruff on your head by using Ketomac shampoo. It is known to be quite effective. Now comb your hair again and again thoroughly till you remove almost all of the flakes.

Step 4

Get any good oil like neem, olive, coconut, or almond oil on your fingertips and warm the oil a little bit in your palms. Dab this oil sparingly on your scalp to moisturize your scalp temporarily so that further flakes are not formed. But don’t put too much as it will make your hair appear greasy.

Step 5

Next, you need to keep your hands away from your scalp all day long as scratching will result in the formation of more flakes. Remember to wash your hair properly with a moisturizing shampoo after you return home.
